So I went for a jaunt over the spiny backbone of the island – from Riung to Bajawa and back again. Skinny winding roads through the mountains; it was absolutely perfect, except for that bit where a truck came around a corner on the wrong side of the road and pushed me off the lip of the bitumen.
With only a foot of mossy soil between the edge of the bitumen and oblivion, it was a little awkward, although not unexpected.
